I think the main use of LKP is on the device keys.
Short = set remote to control a particular device
Long = Turn on/set inputs of home theater, and set remote to control a particular device
I originally used the LKP to call either of two global macros.
Once IR supported easy editting of LKP's, I moved the first part of the long macro into the LKP. I left the short side as a global macro so I could call it from both the short and long side of the LKP.
How hard would it be to modify the LKP protocol so that the long side of the LKP could call the short side (and maybe vice versa)?
What about making the two sides of the LKP callable from global or DSM macros? Something like DVD.short or DVD.long.
Figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
Thanks,
Mike
