Hi Robman,
Sounds like you have had a bad few months. Hope all is going better? Not sure if you are shipping remotes again from the past few posts i've read in this thread?? If so I would like to buy 3 or 4. No rush on sending them out. Just let me know and I will send the money. I have no problem kicking in a extra $25 dollars on the order for the use of this great site.
Thanks
MVH

Hi MVH,
I am willing to start shipping orders again, but I won't be doing it everyday like I did before, I'll probably just take care of them on weekends (due to lack of time). I haven't updated the 1st post here to reflect that because I don't want a flood of new orders.

43p and parallel interface

Batrad-- Did you reverse any of the batteries, or used 4 batteries? Were you using a 15-2116 or another remote?
Try that and see if it helps

Sorry to hear about the flood.
I would like to get a URC-8910 with a USB or some other cable interface to my Thinkpad 43p. I have the old parallel cable (which I used with my wonderful 15-2116), but it does not work with the TP43p.
If you tell me which cable I need and how much it costs, I shall send you the money by PayPal.
Although I am eager to get it, your flood recovery is, of course a higher priority.
Thanks--
Re: 43p and parallel interface
No batteries reversed
using a URC 9960 and a URC 8910 without issues. batteries are in the remote.
Cable only works one way..try reversing the 6 pin connector in the remote
Make sure you configure the parallel port under control panel / system / Hardware/ device manger

URC 8910 and JP-1 cable
Hi, I am based in the UK. Please could you tell me if you have a URC 8910 and JP-1 usb cable. I need it to control a DVR (a Digifusion FVRT90).
The aim is to use the remote control to create my own Slingplayer remote - see this article;

Please let me know the cost to send the UK.
Thank you very much for your help.

Can I order a remote and a J1 cable?
Hi Rob - I need to figure out how to make a Philips DVR talk to the Slingbox, and from reading this forum, it looks like I need a 8910 or 9910 and a J1 cable... and lots of time. Can I order these from you?
URC-8910 - $19 (or the 9910, if there are no 8910s)
JP1 "Simple" parallel - $15
Shipping (Europe) - $11
Paypal Charges = $4.50
TOTAL = US$50
Is that correct?

I hate to discourage buying those things from Rob. But do you really need them? Aren't the signals you want available online somewhere, such as
http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/fi ... br=philips
I looked at a CCF file for the Philips DVR6000 (from the above link) and saw that the IR signals were ordinary Tivo signals (which you can find all over hifi-remote and RemoteCentral). If your "DVR" is a similar device to the DVR6000, maybe you should try using Tivo signals on it.

Hello Rob,
I would like to start playing with a 9960 Kameleon. They seem a little hard to get? Do you have any for sale? I have no problem paying retail price for a new one plus the cost of mods to you. I seen one on Best Buys web site for $58.99 that says "in stock". If you don't have any for sale can I buy one and send it to you for the mods? If thats possible, let me know. Does the 9960 use the simple parallel JP1 interface after the mod?
Thanks
MVH
