I have a Sanyo PLV-Z5 projector and I found some older Sanyo Projector keymaster files on here and one of them partially worked. In fact, the discrete Power Off worked but the discrete Power On didn't.
How can I go about finding the discrete Power On?
Can I somehow have ir.exe send EFC commands through the remote one-by-one?
(The protocol the projector uses is NEC1 device 51...) |

IR.exe can't make the remote send anything, it can only program the eeprom to specify what the remote would send if you pressed appropriate buttons.
How did you test that discrete On command? Did you go straight to including it in a macro? Or did you test it alone first. If alone, did you try a very long press?
Some projector power signals need very long duration. When testing a signal alone you can test that with a very long press. In a macro, a long duration is difficult but not impossible. |

Thanks for the reply.
I'm using keymaster.xls to to create a new device code. Inside keymaster.xls I'm binding various buttons (eg. the power button, 1, 2, 3, etc.) to different EFC codes.
Afterwards I just plug that device code into ir.exe and upload it to my remote control.
I'm not using macros or anything.
I'm also making sure I hold down each key for a full two seconds or so.
I manually tested EFCs from 190 to 265 last night but it was a huge pain because I just had to manually enter the EFC codes and assign them buttons on the remote, try them, and then repeat.
Is it possible my projector has a discrete power off but no discrete power on? |
