What Loewe L2650 code (URL)? And what do you mean by "didn't work"?
If the basic commands didn't work, I think you tested wrong. If the L2650 has discrete codes and those didn't work (but basic commands did) then I guess the Loewe has different advanced commands.

That's all I wanted to confirm. There was nothing wrong with the way you captured it and no new information from capturing it other ways. I just wanted you to confirm that you hadn't accidentally copied the code from the wrong device in your file (people often do).
Another way to find the discretes is:
1) Use MakeHex (with RC5.irp with Device=0) to create a full set of 128 possible signals.
2) Use IrPanels or Hex2CCF to convert the MakeHex output to a CCF
3) Merge that CCF into your config in ProntoEdit (I don't know how, but people who know ProntoEdit better than I do, say there is a way to merge in a CCF).
4) Test all 128 numbered buttons and see if any of them are the discrete codes you want. |

Do you have a CCF file that contains the complete codeset for your TV? If not, could you create one? We have tools to decode CCF files (DecodeCCF) so we could use that to get the complete list of button codes that your TV uses. This would give John a better idea if your set is more like a Loewes or a Philips or some other brand. |
Hi Robman,
Cheers and thanks.
I don't have a CCF of the code set. All I could generate is a PCF which my Pronto save, ProntoProEdit doesn't support exporting CCF only importing . There doesn't appear to be a PCF to CCF converter.
I could send a set in Pronto format unless there is another format that would be suitable.

We don't have any tools to decode PCF files, so the best you can do is to post the individual hex strings. _________________ Rob

That is the total HEX learned codes that are on the remote. If you want them in a different format to what I have present please let me know.
Appreciate your efforts.

1) Did you read my post from Aug 30? There are things in that I thought you would respond to.
2) Most of your list of signals, as expected, is the generic code set matching all of the many TV's that use RC5 device 0. But I noticed the Sleep command you posted was unusual, so I did a search on that. I found only three models that match that Sleep command:
Magnavox Television TP-2526
Magnavox Television PS-1960
Fidelity Television CTV-3014F
So your discrete codes, if they exist, are much more likely to match those models than to match the many other RC5 device 0 models. |

Hi Johnsfine,
Thanks for the info.
I have been trying to generate the 128 possible signals but can't get MakeHex to run/install. Is there a trick to it?
Have also been looking for the codes on the 3 models you pointed to but not listed here or on Remote Central any ideas where they might be located.

Read the readme file. MakeHex does not have a typical UI. If you don't read the instructions, you won't know how to use it. |
