I'd be willing to buy the Jp1.2 remotes.

I really like the layout. The key spacing is nice. I normally am a fan of the little remotes like the URC6011, the old 6131, and the old Cinema 7.

The keys are really spaced. The number keys are farther apart than those on the 8811. There are a lot of special keys grouped together near the top. I'd recommend one.

I've got some JP1.3's that I'm willing to part with.

I don't know if your interested but the atlas remote I got was a jp1.2 and the seller seems to have a fair number of them. The shipping is a bit high but the total cost shipped isn't too bad. You can see one of his postings here:

Yeah, and he refuses to combine shipping. Mad

Yeah I suspect the shipping is used to make the remotes look cheaper if you aren't paying attention. For a unit or 2 it isn't bad but definitely not a good option for getting quantities of them.

Mine came usps for 2.50 shipped so rounding to 3 bucks to cover the padded envelope that's about 5 bucks for the handling.

Here's another auction with three lots of 10 Atlases. His FAQ claims he'll combine shipping. A single lot of 10 for $60.00 is obviously not quite as good as the previous 20 for $75, but at $6.00 ea. shipped, perhaps less if one gets 2 or 3 lots, might be a good supply for EEPROM mods.

The listing states that the shipping for each additional "item" is $5, so it's $60 for 10, $115 for 20 and $170 for 30.

He must have re-used an old listing because in the text of the listing itself he says "Buyer agrees to pay $6.50 shipping within US (Intl shipping extra)"

The picture he is using looks like an older atlas remote. Note the text next to the button and the bump in the center of the button. This should indicate a non-day version of the atlas 5. However looking at one of his newer auctions for remotes he has 3 pictures and 2 of them look like non-day models and the third with the manual is clearly a day version of the remote. If you did manage to buy a quantity from him I'm not sure exactly what we'd get.

Even when you buy the Day model its a crap shoot. There is no way to reliably tell which JP1.x flavor it is. I just bought 5, Day remotes last night, they say JP1 on the connector, so I'm hoping that they'll be JP1.2. So far all my JP1.3 remotes have said JP1.3. But you don't know which JP1.3 model they are. You don't know if they have learning or not. A total crap shoot.

Yup it really is a crap shoot. I'm sure you'll have no problems unloading the jp1.3 remotes to cover your costs considering the popularity of the remote layout and the compatibility with the older jp1 remote processors.

The seller just answered my question about "settings" vs. "day" remotes in the three lots and answered that the listing was made in error. He only has 5 or 6 left.

The listing has been ended early.
