I just took a quick peek at all the Sagem upgrades in the file section, and all except the one for the DBOX2 use the same protocol and device codes, so I'm guessing that there's a good chance that any one of these would work your 6200/6280 box.

Try this file for starters...

I tried that but did not seem to work so far, but I'm a newbie.
It seems that the button list does not include a "record", "play", "fast forward", etc, and as it is a PVR, that does not seem to control the box.

I will try later the Sagem IDT58 DVB (it seems to have what I need).

Update: just tried that. It does not have the "play" "record" "stop" codes to control the PVR. Any other I could try?

Thanks

Let's not worry about which buttons are in the upgrade right out of the box, let's at least see if the main buttons work, such as the numeric buttons and the POWER button. If those buttons don't work, it's immaterial what other buttons are in the upgrade. If those buttons do work, we can dig deeper to see if we can figure out the codes for the transport buttons.

unfortunately, none of the sagem upgrades worked so far. Any other tip?

I have created the BIN from the slingcommunity forum tutorial but not 100% sure I did it correctly.

Thanks!

Do the codes that you created load OK but fail to control the device, or do they not even load into the Slingbox?

the code loaded OK but failed to control the unit.

I went on remotecentral.com. Found some codes for a French sat receiver (TPS). I converted the CCF to .BIN. Uploaded to the Slingbox and I can now power it off, have the num (0-9) work.

I believe it is a good base to start with and try to find the other buttons Surprised

I'll keep you posted and will upload the file when (and if) it will be complete

Thanks!

Please post the RMDU file that you have created in the file section, so we can see the protocol and device codes. There's a good chance that they will match some other upgrade file that we may be able to point you to.

Also, if you can post a link to the R/C codes that you found, that might help too.

Ok, let me post the rmdu file into the file section
you can find it at
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=4924

The links to the CCFs are: file #1 and file #2

So far, 0-9 numeric buttons are working and Power On/Off. Other buttons have some actions, like opening menus, but are not mapped correctly. Also, none of the codes in there is actioning the "record", "play", "pause", "fast forward", and "rewind"

Thanks!

Hey Foluw,
Could you go through the RM file and re-label any functions that do something, but not what is described. For example, if the "rewind" button really brings up the "menu", then re-label it as "menu".

Add a note next to all the functions that don't do anything, stating as much.

Then re-load the file.

That way, when we try comparing the codes to other setup codes (such as sat/0820 and cbl/1624) and other upgrades, we have a good idea of whether the codes match. Unfortunately, just having the numeric buttons and the POWER button is not much to go on as they will match too many other codes.

Hi Rob,

Sorry, it took me a little bit more time to edit the file. It is up in the same file folder mentioned http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=4924

Now, only codes that works are in the file and I renamed them to the actual function it does. (i.e menu is menu)

Hope you'll find a device that we can map Smile

Thanks

Hi Rob again,

I found a model of Sagem that may be compatible, for which a PCF file exists. It's the Sagem 6240T (which seems to be a 40Gig version of the 6280T).

I have tried to understand how to extract data from a PCF file and convert it into a rmdu, but I have to admit I am lost here. Is there a tutorial to do it?

The file is located on remote control at: http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/files/rcfiles.cgi?area=prontong&db=systems&br=original&dv=&md=ivorhewittssystemlayout&kw=ivor-hewitt_pcf.zip&st=&ar=&dt=&so=&pg=1&file=prontong/systems/ivor-hewitt_pcf.zip

I hope you can help!
Thanks

Yes!! I found how to convert the Pronto Hex codes to EFC codes! (for those who don't know how to do it, open your PCF file in ProntoNG edit, click on a button, select property - this will give you the HEX code, get IRTOOL, copy and past the learned code and press "decode Hex" button)

I have now a fully working rmdu file available for Sagem 6280T and Sagem 6240T

Thanks Rob, the site is great.

I have posted the new rmdu here:http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=4924

ready to use .BIN (JU and PL) are available here: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=4934
Thanks!
