Post by J0mama »

1. Device: Apex DVD player
2. Type of device: DVD player
3. Year: 2002?
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: ?
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? Yes
6. Still have original remote? No
7. Checked the file section? Yes, found RDMU files
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? N/A
9. Partially working setup code? yes ad-660
10. Learning remote question? No

RDMU ?
Found the RDMU file for the Apex 700 in the file section.
Can't seem to figure out how to get a RDMU into my remote.
I am not very bright and its taken me years to finally be able to get my JP1 cable working correctly.
I don't have the original remote.
This is a MallWart dispos-a-player with poor components BUT with proper flashing can skip FBI warnings and other non fast forward crap on a DVD.

Hi J0mama, when you connect your JP1 cable to your computer, what do you connect to the other end? I'm hoping the answer is "my JP1 remote" in which case, I'd like you to try and figure out what the model number is.

Assuming that you do indeed have a JP1 remote, the process that you should follow to load an RMDU file into your remote is described here:

Its a 6131 but I also have a 7800 too.
but now that I have the directions on how to use the RDMU
it really dosen't matter at all.

Thanks Robman.

If you just need some basic help of just how to load the file onto the remotr then I would rcomend you read the JP1 beginner's guide to upgrades found in Rob's sig. If you need more help I would remocment looking in the file section under help files. THere are some great tutorials there for everything.
