yup that should be the cable you need to program your remote. Once you've got that you just need to use Remote Master (RM) or Keymaster (KM) to build your upgrade and then IR to upload it to your remote.

It might be a bit confusing since some of the upgrade files are based on an older version of the Denon Combo protocol and some are based on the Official Denon Combo protocol. In fact the list of advanced code you received is based on the old Denon Combo and if you used that (which is perfectly fine), you will need to add a protocol upgrade to your remote as well. That would be unnecessary if you used the Office Denon Combo, since that's built in to the 6131. However, the advanced code (or the EFC) will not be the same. Confused yet?

Anyway, to hopefully make it easier, I've made an upgrade file based on the codes you listed previously, and used the Official Denon protocol for it. You can find it here. Start with that; open it with Remotemaster, assign the functions to the buttons the way you want it, copy the resulting code to IR and upload it to your remote.

The list of advanced codes posted earlier were based on two seperate setup codes, audio/0004 and audio/0160, not either of the combos. As the OPs objective is to simply use the JP1 remote to program another remote, I don't think there's any need to complicate the matter by using a combo protocol. He should simply re-create those two setup codes in his remote and use the advanced codes from the earlier list.

audio/0004 = Denon, device code 12

audio/0160 = Denon, device code 2
