I have had a couple of URC 7562 (OFA) remotes for some years.
I thought they were exactly the same, but after reading this forum I now know that one is B00 and one is B01.
I always wondered what those 6 pins could do, but up until recently I could get the 7562 to do everything I wanted so there was no need to look further.
However recently I got hold of a dreambox DM7000s which has an URC 39730 B01 remote with it.
On reading here I think that remote is Dreambox V2.
The URC 39730 clearly has a similar pedigree to the URC 7562's
- it also has the JP1 6 pins in the back.
I could not get the URC 7562 to learn all the keys I wanted from the 39730
- more than likely learning memory full I am guessing.
I used 990 code on the 39730 and it blinked back as 1267 - unfortunately when I enter this code in either of my 7562's they do not recognise it (long single flash rather than 2 short flash) Which is why I ended up here
I have been reading this forum for last 2 weeks with growing excitement.
I have downloaded all the tools (IR, KM and RM) plus maps rdfs etc.
I have ordered a Jp1 parallel and a JP1 USB cable - nothing in the mail yet
Now I am just trying to understand my next steps.
I am thinking I plug in each remote and grab a copy with IR - save and backup those configs (just in case)
I am then thinking that I can cut some code out of the 39730 config and then paste it into the 7562 config and then upload to the 7562.
Now finally the question - Can I do this with IR alone - or do I need to get into RM (or KM)?
Sorry for the mini novel - but just trying to get my head around what comes next.
Regards and thanks for any advice or assistance.
