One-For-ALL 5 Upgradable URC-2505

Post by Monkfish »

Anyone know if this remote is JP1 compatible or how I can find out? Opening the battery compartment just reveals 3 contact points not 6.

This remote is ancient and it's not JP1 compatible. There were some people who were hacking these remotes long before JP1 started using some sort of serial cable. I have some of the info archived on my site...

Thanks Rob. Looks like I'm at the mercy of One-For-All to program the remote over the phone.

If indeed they still support it, which is questionable. You may just have to bite the bullet and get a newer model remote, but at least that means you can get a JP1 compatible unit.
