URC-6962 weird problem
I've got an 6962 uei remote. I recently installed an 6 pin JP1 interface and upgraded my remote so it would work with all my devices (xbox, ps2, dr-mv1 dvd player, tv). It all worked well for a while, but now the remote randomly doesn't work. Sometimes it light up, sometimes it just doesn't work at all, sometimes it work for a 2 mins. I tried changing the batteries, but it's not that. I also tried to reopen the remote to see it there was anything wrong with my soldering, and i've redone it, but it doesn't solve my problem. Am i the only one with this problem?

I just tried to remove the 6 pin connector and the remote started without any problem. So i guess the problem had something to do with the way i soldered it. I've resoldered it in place with a lot of care, and my remote now works!!!! (at least for now, if it start bugging again i'll repost here).
Edit : was too good to be true, started bugging again
damnit i don't get it, even if it doesn't start, i can connect to in with IR and download/upload without any problem...

I've had intermittent problems with my 6960's that I upgraded with 6-pin connectors, mostly in the display of different buttons. There's something going on in there when you take the remote apart between the connection between the main board and the display.
Not that I can give you the answer on how to fix it, but take it apart again and see if you have any dirt on the connections (they are just press-fit contacts along the edge)
hope that helps
