8910 and Comcast Cable Box
I have been using my JP1 programmed 8910 for a long time to control my Comcast Cable (Motorola 6412). Everything works OK but the response of the cable box is better to the Comcast remote than the 8910. With the 8910 I often have to play with the angle I hold it at to get a response. I have 2 8910s to play with, both work the same. Batteries are new. Cable device code is 1495. Could I have something wrong in the protocol to cause this?

I think you probably mean the "setup code" (ie, CBL/1493), if that's the case it doesn't help us identify which upgrade you are talking about as you are allowed to pick any number you like as the setup code when you create an upgrade. A much more reliable way to refer someone to an upgrade is to post a link to the file in question.

See, there you go again with that attitude of yours. There's no point in you trying to help if you don't do it right, so I was trying to let you know HOW to help, if you chose to do so.e.axel wrote:Sorry I tried to help. It won't happen again....

Maybe it's time for you to leave this forum completely Elliot as you seem to bring nothing but negativity. When people do try to help you they usually receive nothing but grief from you as a reward for their efforts, and when you try to help other people, you do so in a way that's no help at all.
