i dont have my JP1 installed yet so i was wondering if someone with the Viewsat setup would be able to use blinkback or something to tell me some basic codes to type into my 6131N.
sadly one of my 7800s died..i will misss its learn
feature.

It doesn't work like that. The blinkback feature just tells you what the code number is for the setup code that you have program to a device button, but that number is no use to you unless you also have the code programmed in your remote.
In this case, the VS2000 uses NEC1 32.255 and the only UEI code that matches that, which is SAT/1232, is not installed in any remotes that we know of. It's definitely not in the URC-6131n.
So, just sit tight and wait for your JP1 gear to arrive, then install the VS2000 code yourself (it's in the file section).
Also, you do know that the URC-6131n needs to be modified for JP1 use, right?
