Feelux Lighting Control Remote
Hello,
I am trying to create a new protocol for a lighting control remote from Feelux. So far I have learned the IR signals and cleaned up them as follows;

I guess the signal is composed of lead in, 8 bit of device and command, complement of previous byte, lead out, lead out.
Could somebody tell me how to set up PB and KM(or RM) and get proper
device code and OBC's for it?
Thanks in advance.

It's a better idea to post the actual IR file as the timings by themselves don't tell us everything. We can't see the carrier frequency, we can't see whether the signal is sent once or repeatedly and we can't see which buttons are which.

I just uploaded a new DecodeIR.dll that includes this protocol (named "Feelux").
http://john.fine.home.comcast.net/ir/Decode_IR_DLL.zip
The decodes should help, but you still need a new protocol coded. Hopefully Rob will do that.
I'm not sure how Rob handled the double leadout last time that came up.
First cut at IRP notation is
{38K,msb}<575,-575|575-1197>(575,-4203,F:8,~F:8,575,-3289,575,-15330)+
Rob, if you have any suggestions for changing the name or other aspects of the decode, or fixing the irp notation etc., please tell me.
The OBC numbers for the digit keys are sequential so we won't need to see the 5 key relearned.
Edit: I fixed the -1533 at the end of the irp notation to -15330.

Could you tell me the next steps to follow for my homework of coding the Feelux protocol?

I'll create PB and KM files for you when I have a moment, so you'll be able to see how I did it.

Nice Homework Opportunity
Thanks Robman. The Robman wrote:I'll create PB and KM files for you when I have a moment, so you'll be able to see how I did it.
What a nice chance to learn something important!

Re: Feelux protocol
I assume you skipped several functions in creating the set of learned signals you posted.yesok wrote:Could you tell me the next steps to follow for my homework of coding the Feelux protocol?
'5' was bad and you skipped '9', but '1' through '8' are OBC numbers 225 through 232 sequentially, so we can be sure '5' is 229 and '9' is 233. '0' is probably 224 but might be 234. I assume Rob will guess when he makes your file. You could wait and test that guess or you could learn '0'.
Any other functions you skipped won't be as easy to guess.
You should download that DecodeIR I provided and test that with your existing .ir file to make sure you can see the OBC numbers I mentioned. Then you should make a new file with whatever functions you missed, and get their OBC numbers as well. When Rob gives you a KM file, you should add those to the functions page, then map them to whatever buttons you like.

Indeed, if you didn't learn all of the buttons, please learn the rest of them (including the ones that John says are bad) and post a 2nd IR file.

Learned signals from Feelux Lighting Control Remote
I have uploaded a 2nd IR fileThe Robman wrote:Indeed, if you didn't learn all of the buttons, please learn the rest of them (including the ones that John says are bad) and post a 2nd IR file.
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=4326 learned from Feelux Lighting Control Remote with johnsfine's new irdecoder.
Since it is for lighting control, it has only 13 buttons. The IR file contains all button signals, and #5 button is decoded as you have predicted.
I should say it is really a fun to learn something important with experts
living in other countries.
Many thanks to all,

Here's a KM file for you to test...

And here's the PB file for your reference...

I can't claim total credit for coming up with the method for doing this one. I noticed that the format is very similar to that used for the "Konka" protocol (which also has the double lead-out structure) so basically all I did was hack that executor to convert it for use here.
For your reference, here's a thread where the Konka protocol is discussed...

Thanks for the files.
The KM file, together with RM and IR, successfully reproduce all button codes from Feelux Lighting Control Remote.
What a nice way to solve a problem which is almost impossible to do myself!
Many thanks to all.
