Learned remote keys for Konka K2001UM 20" TV. Used a blanked URC-8820 and saved via IR.exe version 7 beta2 and beta3. Note that learning remote keys caused input of device codes for some reason, and changed (I think) as more learned keys were added. Also, included scanned image or remote.
May need a special protocol to make a device file from this??? Please help.

In a couple other threads, Rob provided a custom upgrade for this code set.
Hopefully he has a JP1.2 version of that.
In this post Mike said "Added support for PID 019B as Konka". I assume that is the PID Rob created for that.
Sorry I haven't had time yet to add this one to DecodeIR.

Konka protocol works - working on key mapping
Thanks Rob. That seems to have done the trick. Some of the key assignments/names are different for the Konka K2001UM, but this is pretty easy to fix. I will post it when done.
Questions:
1. Is there an easy way to map the learned codes I provided on the K2001UM to their OBC in your Konka protocol? (I am having difficulty finding the correct OBC for a couple of the buttons).
2. The URC6690 has two "input" buttons listed (in KM 9.07). Can the duplicate be deleted?

Re: Konka protocol works - working on key mapping
The second "input" button listed on row 42 of the Buttons sheet should be grayed out. This is a bug in KM. (If you assign a function to this button, no output is generated because the button does not exist on the URC6690.) It will be fixed in the next KM release.fpreston wrote:2. KM v9.07 has support for PID 019B for S3C8 & HCS08 remotes. Both are offical UEI executors.johnsfine wrote:In this post Mike said "Added support for PID 019B as Konka". I assume that is the PID Rob created for that.

You'll have to convert the raw burst timings into a hex number. In IR7, select the Advanced Tab and click on Forced Learned Timings to enable the Raw Signals panel. Use the scroll bar to scroll to the timings. Cut-n-paste into an editor so you can convert the timing pairs.fpreston wrote:Thanks Rob. That seems to have done the trick. I looked at your learned signals and the hex codes in the upgrade and it seems straightforward to convert.
