I have been using a programmed RS 15-2116 for years. But the remote is starting to get flaky. I thought I'd just buy a new one and download the codes to it, but it looks like I've been away for too long, and the remote is no longer available. I just found a "new" one on eBay and grabbed it. But going forward, I wonder if I should take the plunge and opt for a newer remote.
Sorry to pose such an open-ended question, but what are other folks doing? What is a good replacement (or upgrade) for 15-2116 available on the market today?
Thanks,
Reza
What to do if my 15-2116 dies?

Whatever remote you get, sooner or later it will be discontinued and you'll be facing the same problem, unless you buy lots of them.
If you like the 15-2116 the closest OFA remote from a functionality point of view is the URC-8910.
