Post by CindyD »

I just posted the OBC codes for the RMT-D223A remote, which is used for the Sony RDR-GX315 DVD recorder.

I am a newbie at this, so please post if you find any mistakes with it.

Did you create an upgrade for this device? If so, it would be much more useful to us if you posted the upgrade itself rather than this code list.

If you haven't created an upgrade, then I suppose one of us will use this doc to create an upgrade, then we'll delete the word doc.

Rob H (the Sony expert) reviewed the code list and has determined that several of them are likely to be typos.

For example, he thinks that the arrow keys are more likely to use device code 26.250 than the 26.20 code listed.

Also, the TOOLS function is listed as device code 26.250 whereas it's probably really 26.11.

Furthermore, the RM file that Cindy posted uses the Sony20 protocol, whereas you would need to use the combo protocol to get all the buttons to work.

Here is a new upgrade file that includes all of these changes...

You were correct about the arrow and tools. Thanks!
I was working on the combo, so thank you Rob for doing it. This saves me the time and brain cells. Lord knows I need to reserve my brain cells. :D
