theres a bunch of refurb OFA devices on Ebay
and resellers on the net. anyone know what
exactly has been done to them?

are these used remotes that are worn out and someone found a way to get them to work long enough to unload them or what?

refurbed to "new" condition seems to me they have to replace the rubber keyboard membrane with new ones to achieve that.

I doubt that anyone has done anything with them, my guess is that they're simply store returns.
