is the urc8910 the same as the 9910 w/o receiver?

Is the 8910 remote just the remote part of the 9910 remote/receiver combo?

I.E. Can I get a spare remote w/o a receiver by buying an 8910?

You want two remotes sharing one receiver?

The 8910 also lacks the RF transmit part inside the remote.

Some people have moved that part into 8910's from older remotes. But you would need the older remote and the soldering skill for that.

That was what I wanted, an extra 9910 remote, I already have 2 plus 2 receivers. I saw some sales on an 8910 and wondered if it was just an 9910 w/o the receiver.

So, is there a way to purchase just the 9910 remote or would I have to look on ebay or something?
