Juts got a Yamaha 2500 that comes with the RAV352 remote, which has JP1 pins. But I can't find the RDF files for it. Does anyone know who manufactures the remote and whether I can use another RDF file for mapping?
I'd love to have an easy way to transfer the info from my existing 8910 to the new remote. |

Connect the remote to your JP1 cable and download the memory. If it's a re-labelled remote, IR will automatically pick the right RDF. If it doesn't get recognised, save the downloaded file and post it here in the Diagnosis Area and we'll take a look at it. (But post a link to the file or we won't look). _________________ Rob

I'm new to the forum. Does anyone have any insight into how to disassemble this remote?. I can not find any screws and I'm guessing that they are there. I have downloaded and read Tommy Tyler post on how to take remotes apart.
Also any thoughts on typical failure modes. The LED indicator appears to be working correctly, however the A/V receiver does not respond. However the A/V responds to a different Yamaha remote. |
