Remote code for Motorola QIP6416-1 HD DVR/CABLE BOX
I just got verzion fios with one of their dvr/cable box combos and I was trying to program it to my RS 15-2116 but the codes for motorola cable boxes won't work (0476 or 1376). The remote reports invalid code. I tried to learn it with the supplied remote but was "unsuccessful". The 0476 works with their regular motorola cable box but not with this combo. Their remote doesn't have a JP-1 connector so I couldn't download the codes.

Setup code 0476 works in my URC-8811 & URC-6012, to control both the DVR (QIP6416) & standard (QIP2500) Motorola boxes from Verizon FiOS. Did add a few custom key moves.dburr2 wrote:I just got verzion fios with one of their dvr/cable box combos and I was trying to program it to my RS 15-2116 but the codes for motorola cable boxes won't work (0476 or 1376). ....

So, you're not saying that the CBL/0476 code doesn't work the box, you're saying that this code is not present in the 15-2116. If that is the case, you are mistaken as the code is in the 15-2116. If the remote reports that it's an invalid code, you are probably using the wrong device mode (ie, it needs to be CBL).dburr2 wrote:I was trying to program it to my RS 15-2116 but the codes for motorola cable boxes won't work (0476 or 1376). Thanks guys for the reply. I was trying to use the VCR function like I did with my TIVO. Works fine with the CBL button. Now I gotta do some key moves to make it more functional. Thanks again.

If you're a JP1 user, which I assume you are, rather than waste keymove/macro memory by using keymoves to fix the code, why not create a new upgrade for it.
