On the RF receiver unit is a connection for an IR blaster but I'm wondering if someone can advise me as to how to connect multiple emitters w/out blowing them.

Thanks,
Mark

Use a "Y" adapter or buy a dual emitter IR blaster.

Digging up an old post here but it's on the topic of what I am looking for....

Rob - is there a recomended type of emitter for the 2117 base station? I have read the socket on the back of the base station is smaller than most standard ir emitters. I am looking for a way to get three emitters running off the 2117 base station. Any suggestions?

I'm in a similar situation, but will be controlling four devices in a wiring closet. I assume the best thing to do is to arrange the blasters to cover multiple equipment IR receivers.

Hopefully, the number of blasters you can attach isn't too small.

Internally, the external emitter is wired in parallel with one of the IR leds in the unit (or that is what I recall from a project I built with it). In any case, the connector is a 2.5mm mono connector. RS sells them for a couple of bones in a package of 2.

Has anyone every found a comercially available IR blaster that works with the 2117? I tried wiring in two more emitters in paralell, and it didnt work. After spending many hours on this, I'm thinking of just buying a whole new extender.
