Wow Rob,

Awesome selection you have, I don't see a listing for the old 6131 un-modded do you have any of these in stock and what would the price be?

I will be ordering soon, thanks in advance.

As the URC-6131 is becoming harder to find, I want to use all of the units that I have for modifications, so I don't sell the un-modded remote anymore. If you really want the non-JP1 version, you should keep an eye on ebay as it still shows up there.

Hey Rob,

I'm looking for a pre-assembled JP1 USB cable and Pogo adapter for the Kameleon. I'm not much for soldering, thus the pre-assembled idea. Do you have anything like that available and what would be the price?

Thanks

AFAIK, the only vendor that supplies the pogo-pin adapter is HovisDirect.com, so you should probably get your cable and adapter from him (but be warned, his delivery times can be pretty slow).

Now, on the other hand, if you'd like to buy a Kameleon that has been modified to include the 6-pin connector, so you won't need the pogo, I can sell you one of those along with a USB cable.

Maybe I shoulda thought of this stuff before. I just purchased a Kameleon and recieved it the other day. Not sure what I'd do with 2, unless they can have little kameleon babies lol.
As far as HovisDirect goes. Pretty slow can be a relative term, but I'm assuming we're talking it just takes much longer than it should. Do you have a rough idea of the time it takes?

Check out some of these threads regarding Hovis' delivery times...

He's a good guy, he just seems to get overwhelmed by things and his delivery times suffer.

You're right, they must have just added them as I didn't think I saw the pogo listed last time I checked.

Rob quick question. I need a PVR remote to use with my SA 8300HD DVR and it turns out the 2117 just doesnt have enough buttons.
Thing is I need something that also has RF capabilities because I have everything set up in a closet. Which remote can you suggest for this? I read somewhere about the 9910 having problems, with batteries, weak IR signal etc... All in all, what can you recommend.

If you need RF, I would recommend the URC-9910, but they are becoming quite hard to find these days (I don't have any).

And quite expensive, the last few on ebay sold for over $60.

URC-8910 still in stock?

Post by htewam »

Hi Rob,

Your last update looks a week or two old so I thought I'd check if you still have everything in stock before I order:

Qty 2 - URC-8910 (B01 of course)
Qty 1 - JP1 (simple) cable

Can all of these be shipped in one box (e.g. single $4 shipping fee)?

If I decide to go with a USB JP1 instead, can this be shipped in the same box or are we talking an extra shipping fee.

Thanks

Yup, I have all of those in stock and yes, everything will fit into a single $4 shipping box, so order away.

You just go ahead and place an order as per normal and you'll get one of the first ones when I get them (and I wouldn't be surprised if I sell out in advance). If at any point while you're waiting you change your mind, just let me know and I'll refund the money, no questions asked.

My supplier says they expect to have them in stock on 4/3/06 and so far, I usually get remotes 2 days after they ship them, which means I would hopefully have them by 4/6/06 or so.
