what is the value of xxx so i can search for it with google? i am trying to find a picture of it. as far as i can tell, most of the URC remotes are followed by 4 digits such as URC-8910. searching for URC-44xxx or URC-44 with google didn't reveal anything.

This remote is one of the "Navigator" series, and yes, KM/RM supports it, and there is an RDF for it. However, there is more than one variation of these remotes. You need to look carefully at the label and see if there is a B00, B01, etc. after the URC-44xxx number.

These remotes use an older processor, so there are no extenders for them, but otherwise they can be programmed nicely via JP1.

The label literally reads "URC-44xxx". I guess they did not want to commit to just one number, since they supply customized versions of these remotes to different cable companies.

Just out of curiosity did you try the "CYC1 (Navigator URC-44000B02-B04).rdf" RDF with it?
