1. Device: Philips 32PS60B
2. Type of device: TV
3. Year: 2001
4. JP1 Remote model: 15-2117
5. JP1 user? Yes
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? Yes (0054)
10. Learning remote question? Yes

The remote for this TV doesn't have an on/off button, just a power toggle, but I need the discrete ON command especially, in order to deal with a technical issue. The Philips prontozone site lists CCF files all the way back to 2002, but I have hadn't any success with the 2002 file. I emailed them, but haven't gotten a response either. Thanks!

Philips is pretty consistent about the codes for discrete On and Off, but not as consistent about which models recognise those codes. So if your model doesn't recognise the usual discrete On/Off codes it is more likely that your model has NO discrete On/Off than that it has DIFFERENT discrete On/Off

Why are vague statements like that so common here. You get better answers if you provide better context.

No success means:
You don't know how to decode the file?
You decoded it but couldn't find the discrete codes you wanted?
You found the discrete codes but don't know how to translate to usable JP1 form?
You translated and test but they act as toggle rather than discrete on your TV?
Tested but they are totally ignored by your TV?
Other meanings I haven't guessed?

damn you guys are cruel Wink

"no success" means it didn't work, the TV did not respond, sorry if that sounded vague.

I tried the advanced code list as well.

I guess you're stuck with using the ToadTog special protocol.

(And if you don't know what that is, search and read some more Wink )

I am familiar with TOAD, but I guess I wil have to do more research. I am actually try to control my TV with my Ocelot (home automation hardware controller), which makes things more complicated unless I find the pronto hex or LIR data. Thanks for the help tho!
