Please forgive the dumb question, but I just realized that I don't know the actual difference between the "Sentbox" and the "Outbox".
Today, I've sent 2 messages. The first one is in the "Sentbox", the second one is in the "Outbox". What's the difference? Is the second one spooled somewhere waiting to be sent? Or has it not been read by the addressee? Or what? |

Never mind. I just saw an explanation: it's in the Outbox because it hasn't been read. Sorry for the clutter.
ps: Too bad the boxes don't have descriptive names |

I don't think that is the difference. Well, you didn't say what mail application you are using, but in Outlook and Outlook Express when you click the Send button the message goes into the Out Box. When you have successfully connected to your mail service and the message has actually been sent, then it moves to the Sent Items Items. Neither have anything to do with the person that you sent it to having read the message. |

He's talking about sending PMs. The meaning behind the names used are similar to Outlook. When you send a PM it goes to the Outbox, and once it has successfully been delivered (which in this case means the other person has opened it) it goes to the Sent box. _________________ Rob

Ah, yes. Context is everything. |
