Hi,
Re my other posts about Polaroid and KM and macros, I have everything working perfect. Thanks to this site and the help rcvd here.
I have been trying to get the following things to work with my 6131 Ext. :
1:
DSM's on another device button,(works perfect on the PVR device but when I try to add a DSM on any other device, the DSM's seem to run in an endless loop.)
2:
I've tried to do LKP on the digit buttons (1-0) so that on a short press of say button 2, it enters digit 2. And on a long press it would run a macro.
This works, but on the short press the red LED keeps flashing at a high rate and will not stop untill a battery is removed.
Any ideas as to why and what I can do ?
Thanks
DSM's and LKP's ?

Re: DSM's and LKP's ?
Sam, I looked through a bunch of your posts.
My wild guess is that you're in a forever loop, such as one where 2 calls 2 calls 2, or TV calls TV calls TV, or power calls power calls power ...
Does 6131 have shift-cloaking? Read about it in the docs.
If it does, then if you define nothing on shift-2, then your keymove can be
device/2= short: shift-2, long: some macro steps
assuming that 2 is a base key from some upgrade.
Absent IR file, this is pure speculation

Nils and ElizabethD,
I did change the button to Shift-1 (1 thru 0) for the short KP as you said and that works perfectly. Thats's the only thing I had to change. Thank you.
Robman, I would like to upload this IR file to the forum but not sure of how to.
Please advise on where the docs are on doing this.
I'm learning.
Thank you all very much,
Sam

Hi Sam, I'm sorry to say that we haven't written up anything explaining how to upload docs as we kinda assumed it was obvious enough that we didn't need to.Sam wrote:Robman, I would like to upload this IR file to the forum but not sure of how to. Please advise on where the docs are on doing this.
Here's the step-by-step...
1) Scroll to the top of this page and click on the "File Section" link.
2) Click on the folder where you would like to load your file (in this case, you would want to chose the "Diagnosis Area")
3) Click on the UPLOAD button
4) Enter the information on the file in the various text boxes
5) Click on the BROWSE button (near the bottom) and select the file from your harddrive
6) Click on the ADD FILE button.
Your file is now loaded. Next, you'll want to get the URL for the file so you include it in your post.
7) Once again, click on the "File Section" link at the top of the page.
8) Scroll down to the folder where you loaded the file (ie, the Diagnosis Area) but don't click on it.
9) Your file should be listed in the "Last File" column (you may need to REFRESH to see it). Hold the mouse pointer over the link and right click, then select "Copy Shortcut".
10) Come back to your thread and use "paste" to copy the URL into a new post.
Howzat?
