Anyone in Canada looking for an RCU810, they are available at XS Cargo clearance stores for C$19.99. http://www.xscargo.com

I just bought 2 and they look just like the one I have working with JP1. Have not added the JP1 mod yet. They may be the older "A" model which has the clock reset problem. Very Happy

The "A" version came in a sealed clister pack, whereas the "B" version comes in a cardboard container. I don't know that the A/B thing is a valid indicator of whether the remote has the clock reset problem though.

They are in sealed blister packs. The one I've opened has a label in the battery compartment "RC810-A 1221" 1221 I think is the date code. My old remote is labeled "RC810-A 5114"

I would assume anything from xscargo is a defective version. The store sells a lot of items with manufacturer defects. Yes they have amazing looking prices, but buyer beware with them. You are getting only what you pay for.

If you're planning to add a jp1 connector anyway, the reset problem isn't a big issue. You can make a simple jumper plug that goes on the JP1 connector when you're not using JP1 and prevents the reset.
