|
|
I'm having a hard time finding out how to program my Tivo "advance" button using the URC-6131 extender. Advance is not defined in the KeyMap function list and I don't know where to look up the EFC/OBC/HEX code. Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong, or is the key just not in any of the lists?
Here's what I'm doing:
I know that the 0 (zero) key is HEX 73, EFC 153, OBC 049 from KM spreadsheet. I can also find 0 in the advanced code section on the web page which shows EFC 665, and subtracting 512 I get the same 153, so I know I'm looking at the right values. Unfortunately this page doesn't have advance. I've looked at all of the other documents I can find to find a correlation between "0" and "advance" and I can't find it.
I have been able to make it work by creating a DSM using HEX 29 code, but this is kind of a kludge.
Can anybody help? I also have a Harmon/Kardon AVR-85 that I can't get the correct codes for UP/DOWN/RIGHT/LEFT arrow. Anybody know these? One I put an EEPROM back in my Cinema 7 I'm going to learn these and see if I can decode them. |

The advance function has been called several different names in KM upgrade files. I have seen advance, jump, jump to live, and quick skip. Do you see any of these in your KM file? The EFC is 218 and the OBC is 39. _________________ Chris |

Thanks Chris. You're right, it's called Jump/Quick Skip. The default mapping made me think that was Prev, but it's not. |
