Thanks guys. I'll get working on the KM upgrade.

The VCR1340 code is also supposed to work with the Philips HDRW720 as an alternate to the DVD1818 code. That's why I had OFA download it. DVD0646 is supposed to work with a Pioneer DVR-810H-S that I own, but I haven't gotten around to trying the code. So you're right, I don't have any immediate need for those codes.

The KM upgrade might take a few days. I only have 20 minutes or so a day to play with this right now.

Thanks again.

If you end up needing those other upgrades, you could rebuild them in KM the same way you're rebuilding DVD/1818 (so they won't need that protocol upgrade and to customise the key layout).

They're all RC6 of course.

VCR/1340 is device 50 (as you'd expect since it is for the same device as DVD/1818).

DVD/0646 is device 48. That's a common choice for a DVDR using RC6, so it's built-in on several models of remote and it roughly matches four JP1 upgrade files already posted (3 philips and 1 Magnavox).

I don't use km. I am working on this for an in-law but don't have his recorder to know if all is in it yet. (File Removed) if you use rm and want to check it out. If you do let me know if it is good and if anything is left out. I used the info in this thread to go on.

If anyone can help diagnose the ir file i posted, that would be cool. :)

Maybe the threads can merge...
