device upgrade??

Post by new-guy »

I am trying to do a device upgrade on this remote...
Using RM I loaded an existing upgrade (Sony_HT-DDW840_Simple.txt -- under home theater or amps in tools). I then change the remote to mine and everything is ok.. All the buttons that I want are assigned fine..
I then copy the output and go to IR.. There i add a device and paste in the info... But I get an error "list index out of bounds (-1)"... what exactly does that mean?
Also, this remote has an offset of 14... how do i deal with that in RM?? Currently I am using the remote's built in code for my receiver (1072, minus 14 = 1058)... another question is, should i be using an existing code on the remote, or a new code all together???

You should use a new code. RM should automatically adjust for the -14 offset.

When will this RDF be available to the rest of us?

The latest version is in the files section: RDF for SA2000

The RDF is about 97% complete, and should work OK for adding upgrades, etc.
