Sorry, John, for the dumb question posted in a wrong forum.
It's just this thread lookd so interesting when Nils and Hal went through a bit of detail, so I just wanted to know what's counted as a keypress and how/when it's handled by the extender.
Many thanks for your answer. Helps me understand a tiny bit more and appreciate the complexity of this whole business . |

Sorry for bumping an older thread, but this one seemed most pertinent.
I installed the extender on my 8910, and deleted all optional protocols/devices that came with it except for the custom mode names.
The difference in speed/responsiveness between non-extended key presses (arrow keys, volume, channel, etc.) and extended is like night and day. Had to uninstall it, even though the extender had some stuff I really liked. |
