hello
I am having a problem with the denon 3803 remote master upgrade file here http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=1976 . None of the shifted numeric functions workand, the red led does not eluminate. The shifted volume and channel buttons work fine. When the functions are not shifted they work fine, but over ride the original functions. Please let me know if any one can help me.
Thanks

Worked
That worked thanks, very strange the the other buttons only need one shift hit. oh well
Thanks again
P.S. does any one know that having to hit shift twice is a result of the remote or the programing?

Re: Worked
It is deliberately programmed that way. Most of these remotes can send an unprogrammed IR command using the sequence Setup-N-N-N (pressing the Setup button and then a three digit EFC code), transmitting the IR function when the third digit is pressed. Since the Setup button is also used as the Shift button, the solution they decided on to resolve the conflict is that you'd have to press the Shift button twice to shift a digit button.elecengineer wrote:P.S. does any one know that having to hit shift twice is a result of the remote or the programing?

It's also ben documented for ages on the various user based OFA sites.
Here's an example of it mentioned in a manual...

And if you check out the really old FAQ page, at the bottom of item 1.16 it says...

http://www.hifi-remote.com/ofa/faq.shtmlBefore you go mad trying, I should warn you that you can stack on a number key, but in order to execute it, you have to hit the magic button twice. This is due to the other feature of the Cinema 7 that allows you to transmit an advanced code by pressing MAGIC and then the 3-digit number for the advanced code.
