Where did you find the info that the URC-8811 has been discontinued? My gut feeling was that this was probably the case but I didn't know for sure. That's partially why I grabbed up a supply of them recently while I still could.

I get my remotes in bulk from either Impact Merchandising (the folks that used to be behind the OFA brand) or CT Global (the guys who are behind the brand now).
I originally gave up selling the URC-8811 because it was impossible to compete with the Walmart price, but when I started hearing that Walmart doesn't carry it anymore and generally the supply of JP1 remotes seems to be drying up, I bought a box of 50 URC-8811s just so I could continue to make them available to the JP1 community. I've also got about 50 URC-6131ns (the new one), 50 URC-6131s (the old one) and about 8 or 9 URC-9910s.
I plan on re-opening my remote shop in a limited capacity soon.

Yup, but looks like I get the last laugh, unless they start carrying it again next week, but hey, even if that were to happen, it would be for the good of the JP1 world, so I'd still be happy!

Rob,
I did get an email back from OFA that the 8811 is discontinued. What will you be selling the 8811's you've got for when you get back in the sales business?
I just bought 8811 few days ago from Fry's for ~$20. And I know where to get new OFA Kameleons 8-in-1 for $30 Now I need to figure where to get pogo adapter, so that I could use extender. BB had URC-6131n for $16. Didn't want the hustle of upgrading, for few bucks more got 8811, shipping would be almost as much.
I have a supply of URC-8811 remotes available for $20 each, if anyone needs them. I also have both the new and the old URC-6131, I just need to get them modified.
I also have a small supply of URC-9910s.
