Ok, i've had this One for All for a while now, and just had a digital cable remote go out on me. I realize i can have the cable company replace the remote for me, but until then i would like to use the one for all with the digital cable box.

The box is a Scientific Atlantic, model: explorer 2000,
Remote is a One for All URC-5471B00

The oneforall website is down, so any help is much appreciated.

Thanks~DTR204

You're asking a question in the main JP1 forum, if you don't know what JP1 is, how did you get here?

I don't know if the urc-5471 can be used with a JP1 cable.

The JP1 cable lets you customize the remote more completely and more easily than you can with the remote's normal programming method.

The Scientific Atlanta setup codes are all roughly the same. If you pick any one of those setup codes it will work most of the functions of your Scientific Atlata box. But a few functions are different between the setup codes. You can experiment and see which setup code gets the most right, and/or you can use KeyMoves of EFC numbers (assuming the URC-5471 supports those) to fill in the missing ones.

EFC numbering is the same in all the Scientific Atlanta setup codes and the EFC numbers (AKA "advanced codes" are listed on Rob's web site). That list is the union of function numbers from several different models, so all the EFC numbers you might need should be there, but not all the ones there should work. A little experimentation should resolve it.

Google searched for one for all remote codes hoping to get an alternative to ofa.com. Your site came up....excuse my ignorance
