Hey, Guys,

Just wanted to let you know that I'm still here. It's been a busy week/weekend for me. I've been writing a VBScript program to extract comments from Canon's ZoomBrowser software for my Dad. He's been entering comments on his digital pics for years, and just realized recently that ZoomBrowser was storing that info in a proprietary database rather than in the JPEG headers.

Anyway, long story short, I hope to be able to work on this some this next week.

Thanks!

Is this extender still being worked on? I recently purchased this receiver and would love to get more from the remote. I don't have a lot of experience with JP1, but I am willing to test the extender. I have downloaded the extender beta 5 from the diagnosis section, are there any known problems I might run into?

The status and issues are pretty much as explained in this thread, and nothing happened since then.

I don't mind continuing this if you are willing to try the experiments I mentioned in my last post plus other things you can think of trying, however, I may not be able to respond/create revised versions as quick as before because I'm up to something else these days.

Hal,

Thanks for the offer. I don't know that I can be of much help with this though. I have tried to comment out the lines, and rebuild the txt file for IR. Although I think I built the file correctly, I wasn't getting any functionality out of the remote. The only button that seemed to do anything for me was the volume button. And it just caused the LED to flash 4 times. I don't feel I understand what I'm doing with this. As the members of this board have suggested to others "you need to walk before you can run." I think I have to go back an learn to walk, before I can truly be of assistance.
