Dreambox 500 Sat. receiver

Post by topes »

I'm trying to create a Km text document for my dreambox500 Sat. receiver.

After IR learning and after reading it in IR the protocol is gap 212 which is not recognized.
My Learning remote is RS 15-2116 and I have the JP1 cable which I have succefully upload/download with other devices however Ive never created a text file from scratch.
Any help would be appreciated.

The GAP decodes that you are seeing don't provide enough informatoin for anyone to make a device upgrade from. They loosely describe the signal, but are mainly a placeholder to let us know that the signal wasn't recognized by DecodeIR.DLL.

The first thing you should do is download the latest version of DecodeIR.DLL fromhere. You'll need to copy it to your Windows directory or to the directory that contains IR.EXE (whichever you prefer). Load the image with the learned signals and see if you still get the GAP decodes.

I'm pretty sure that DecodeIR and RM & KM support the protocol that the Dreambox uses, so that should be enough. If it's not, you should check out this thread:

It's a posting from another user who also got GAP decodes.

gjarboni thanx for your reply, I uploaded newer dll's and still got the gap codes.
I will look at the link that you provided and see what I can do, might be over my head though thanks again.

If the newest DecodeIr.dll doesn't decode your signals, put a .ir file containing several of those signals into the diagnosis are and post its URL back to a thread here.
