Appending IR Notes

Post by bevhoward »

It became obvious that all IR "notes" were lost when learned codes were saved from a download, but it appears that the location references are fairly static.

I appended the [notes] from a previous saved ir file and they appear to have maintained their relationship to the entries.

Question 1 Is there any potential problem when doing the above as long as the file format is maintained?

Question 2 Have I missed some obvious way to maintain or transfer notes when a download is run?

Thanks,

Why not leave the notes in your current saved IR file. You are only using learning as a tool to discover what certain signals look like, you're probably not going to keep the learned signals in the remote, so there's no need to worry about the notes in the downloads that contain learned signals.
