I'm wondering at what point it makes more sense to use a normal programmable remote like the one that came with my receiver (Pioneer 1015) than to completely program the RS 15-2117.
The one thing I really like about the 15-2117 is that it lights up in the dark (which is a HUGE feature, at least for me), but a lot of buttons don't remap very well... (meaning my TV has a "Screen" button but the 15-2117 doesn't have anything labeled even close to that)
So what do you think would be better in my case? |

Everybody here is using their JP1 remote to control all functions for all devices in their system, all of our original remotes now reside in boxes in the basement or some such place. _________________ Rob

Tip: Take the batteries out of those boxed remotes, or you may return years later to find a gooey mess. |

Yes indeed. Also, don't leave a remote connected to your JP1 cable for extended periods of time if the batteries are still in it! (trust me on this one!!! ) _________________ Rob
