You can find all the Sony codes you could possibly want here:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/sony/
In particular, the TV codes are here:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/sony/Sony_tv.htm
You'll notice that while most of the TV functions come from device codes 1 and 164 (ie, the TV/0000 setup code) the "video 7" function comes from the 151 device code.
Therefore, you could either use one of the Sony combo protocols, or you could create a stand alone upgrade using device code 151, then program a key move that points to it that uses OBC 66 (which is EFC 032 or 024).

Sony Video 7 Discrete Code Solution
I have a Sony 55" KDF-55WF655 HD TV, which uses TV Code 0000 on my 15-2116 remote. To add a discrete Video 7 code (for the HDMI input), you need to do the following.
Download "Sony-HD and Plasma -Video7_Device_151_and_119.txt" from the "Files > 3. Device Codes > TV" section of the JP1 group at Yahoo (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jp1/).
"LOAD" this file into the Keymap Master Program using the LOAD button.
Make sure the correct remote is selected in the top left drop down box.
Copy the "Device Upgrade Code" to the clipboard using the copy button in the "Device Upgrade Code" box.
Run IR, and load your remote configuration (or download it from your remote).
Go to the Devices tab and click on ADD
Paste the upgrade code into the top box. The TYPE should change to CBL and the Setup Code should change to 1999. Click on OK.
Go to the General tab and assign an unused device button (I used AUX) to TYPE: CBL and Code: 1999.
Upload to your remote. The AUX device should now select Video 7 when you press the TV/VIDEO button. You can of course move this button to an unused button within the TV device if you wish.
You can check what other button functions you will now have in the AUX device by looking at the Buttons tab in Keymaster (so long as the file you loaded earlier is still loaded).
Have fun!!

Why don't you load that file into the new file section and then provide an actual link to it.

OK, I think I did that right. I uploaded an IR file with just the one device upgrade, which adds a discrete Video 7 input key (the TV/Video key of the AUX device), for Sony KDF-55WF655 (and likely other) Sony HD TV's.
The file is called "Sony KDF-55WF655 Video7 Input."
It is in the TV section of the "Device Upgrades" File area. The url is http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=1764

BTW, the "Sony-HD and Plasma -Video7_Device_151_and_119.txt" keymap file is in the file section here, at http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=1165

I checked Rob H's site and he doesn't have the code listed, so I'm guessing that it hasn't been found yet (if indeed it even exists). So my recommendation would be to try OBCs from the Sony 151 device code. I would start with OBC 67 as "Video 7" is OBC 66.tabish wrote:I've got a 60XS955, has anyone found the code for Video 8 on these sets?

sony tv, video 7 input, and urc-8811
hi all -
i'm trying to find a discrete code for the video7 (hdmi) input on my sony 60xs955.
i've searched the files section and downloaded every sony file. the only one that even powered on my tv was the "Sony_KV-35V68_Upgrade_8910" file - but that only goes to video6. the rest of them wouldn't even power on my tv???
i also tried the video7 trick at (http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4537) which i would have thought worked. i made sure to change my remote type in km before copying to ir.
anyway, if anyone has any ideas or can figure out what i'm doing wrong ... that would be awesome.
thx,
ted

Since this topic has broadened a bit, you should be more specific. What exactly didn't work? Creating a keymove for the Video 7 discrete code, trying to use the Video 7 code in a device, trying to use said code in a macro, trying to balance your remote on your nosehyimted wrote:hi all -
i tried this with my urc-8811 remote, but it didn't appear to work.
If you think you might have done something wrong, uploading the contents of your ir file to the diagnostics area will let one of the experts take a look at it.
Re: sony tv, video 7 input, and urc-8811
If you've done everything right, then it seems likely that your TV doesn't have a discrete code for Video 7. But this is easily worked around. In a macro just use, Video 6, followed by TV/Video to select Video7.hyimted wrote:i'm trying to find a discrete code for the video7 (hdmi) input on my sony 60xs955.
