Program buttons on 2nd menu on 9960 Kameleon

Post by zarquon »

I just picked up a Kameleon 9960 cheap (open box item at Best Buy), and have a couple of questions. Is there any way to directly program buttons on anything other than the first menu on devices that have multiple menus? The Audio device, for example, has the numeric keys on the first and last of its 4 menu screens; I'm using the first instance for input selection, and the second instance for DSP preset selection. I had to learn the second set of keys, since none of the JP1 tools seems to make any distiction between the menu screens. Even entering the codes directly on the remote seems to work only on the first menu. Am I missing something, or is it not possible?

Also, I was curious if anyone out there is working on an extender for the 9960 B01 (which mine happens to be). I see there's a place for it in the file section, just no file...(yet, hopefully!)

If I remember correctly the alternate menu buttons are there with different names in the RDF. When you learned them what buttons do they show up on when you do an IR download? This will give some hints as to which buttons to program or if the RDF needs some new names in it.

As far as the extender goes I did start working on it but have not completed. It just has not had a high priority since there wern't many out there. I should get my butt in gear and finish but have just been real busy.

Indeed they are... I must have been staring at it a bit too long the day I was working on it, and never scrolled down far enough to see them! Thanks.
