Hi, I uploaded the code to my 8910, all keys worked except arrow keys.
The 4 arrow keys were supposed to move cursor up/down when menu is activated. However, wheneven I press on arrow key (when menu is active), the cursor doesn't move at all. if I press right arrow key, it changes the volume, left arrow key, it change volume down.... but just don't move the cursor..... how to solve this??? thanks

Sorry, here is the template:

1. Device: Samsung TXP-3264W
2. Type of device: HDTV CRT-Direct View
3. JP1 Remote model: OFA 8910
4. JP1 user? Yes
5. Still have original remote? No
6. Checked the file section? yes
7. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? No
8. Partially working setup code? Yes
9. Learning remote question? No

File is Samsung_3097.txt at yaohoo groups. I will post the content of it in a reply post.

A couple of quick recommendations:
(1) Use the template from the the number one code search FAQ
(2) Post a link to the file you want someone to look at.

We prefer that you do not post the contents of files like that in the forum. A "link" means a URL. I know it is a little inconvenient to construct URLs for files at Yahoo, but there are instructions posted for doing so.

And the file you mentioned had already been copied to the new file area where URL's are easy:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=1147

I have seen several JP1 versions of Samsung TV's like the upgrade you found, that use the VOL+ command for right, vol- for left, CH+ for up, and CH- for down. So I assume that works on some of these Samsung models. Apparently not on your model.

But the CCF files at RC for Samsung devices using NECx2:7.7 more typically have seperate EFC numbers for the arrows:

199 Right
200 Left
197 Up
201 Down

Try editing the functions sheet of your upgrade top put in those EFC numbers and see if they work.

Sorry, I thought it's easier to read the content here. Anyways, I have removed the content and posted the URL instead. BTW, thanks for your help I will try to modify EFC when I get back home tonight. Thanks again!

When you type in the description for its download page, you might want to mention that the arrow keys are NOT the same as VOL and CH keys.

There are a lot of Samsung models, so the odds of someone matching your exact model number are low.

Most of the posted upgrades are for the models that have arrow keys same as VOL and CH+ keys.

Someone else who tries one of those upgrades, then looks for a different upgrade to try, will have an easier time finding it if they can tell before download which upgrade has arrow keys different from VOL and CH.
