9. Learning remote question?

I recently purchased a Philips TV, which I am now trying to incorporate into my remote scheme. The TV responds to code 0054, and I have been able to successfully learn the commands from the remote. I would also like to have access to discrete on/off and input selection (which, obviously, are not on the original remote). I have read quite a few posts about the RC-5 protocol, and I vaguely understand how it works.

As mentioned, I have an upgrade that works fine for all of the basic commands. In order to incorporate the desired discrete commands, I have tried entering the appropriate (?) EFCs into Keymap, and then I have uploaded to the remote. Unfortunately, the discrete commands don't work.

I am now thinking that perhaps this model of TV does not respond to discrete commands, which would be a bummer. Any thoughts on troubleshooting this? I have posted the KM file in the diagnosis area as url Philips 27PT643R99

Thanks. Charlie
