There is not a Sticky about how to upload files to the files section here.
There is one about uploading to yahoo.
Recently I saw two people needed help.

The prompts in the upload section can be confusing - I, for instance, confused the file name with what's to go into the top line. Fortunatly all the filenames had the model info.
Also the 'edit file' button confuses a bit when the intention is, for instance, to edit just the descriptions and things. And it's not obvious to a user in a hurry that the same edit file button saves the file or description when in editing mode. Perhaps some of these traps I fell into could be explained.
