This is the JP1 beginners forum. There's no such thing as a stupid question in here, so post away, but this forum is just for JP1 users and people considering JP1, non-JP1 users please use the appropriate forum above!

URC 8203 / 8204 / 8206 compatible?

Post by belgianguy36 »

Hello,

Can someone tell me if the european remote controls are compatible with JP1?
Is there a 6 pin connector available in these devices and can they be reprogrammed with my own codes?

URC 8203
URC 8204
URC 8206

Thank you.

No, these remotes are using a Motorola flash processor and therefor, they aren't JP1 compatible.

Uwe

UPDATE 04/20/2007: These JP1.2 models are now supported by the JP1 process, but you do need a new JP1.2/3 cable to program them, you can't use a traditional JP1 cable.

You can't, so don't buy these new models, try and find an old model that is JP1 compatible.
