JERROLD General Instrument JP1?

Post by kodalo »

I have URC JERROLD General Instrument. It looks like Maestro II, but there is no JP1 pins. There is only 3 pads on the PCB marks as JP1.
Is it posible to connect it ?
Also I always get error "Factory service required".
Any solution?

Thanks in advance.

It sounds like your remote is really a re-badged URC-6885 (see pic below). These remotes are not JP1 compatible and furthermore, they have a Y2K bug that renders the remote completely useless once you get the Factory Service message. Sorry but it's trash time for this puppy!

Ahh, yes. The old VCRPro. My very first OFA. Still have the pieces kickin' around the basement somewhere...
