This is probably one for Rob.... we're discussing over in AVS controlling multiple Replays with one remote, with the usual power toggle, or lockouts, or invidual controls.
I want to set my 8910 to send the individual commands for each individual Replay as selected by the two device buttons (if that's clear).
What I've not seen a good explanation of is how to modify the VCR/0616 device files to be coded for each of the Replays. Is this a sort of subdevice programming? Thanks! _________________ -Lee |

Stop thinking in terms of the built in codes (ie, VCR/0616, etc). Go to the Yahoo file section and in the PVR folder there is a file called ReplayTV.zip. This contains KM files for ReplayTV.
To make an upgrade unit specific, simply change the unit code from zero to something else (1 thru 15).
Do you know how to program the Replays to respond to the unique unit codes? With the old units, you need to reboot them and then make sure that the first IR signal it sees is one with the unit code in it. For the new units (ie, 4000 series and up) you need to go to the setup-243 screen to do it (I forget the exact steps)

Yep, got the idea on how to set the Replays. I'd forgotten about the specific files for the Replays, will fetch that and most likely be back with KM questions in a while. Thanks much! _________________ -Lee
