Hello again,
I'm feeling quite stupid right now. This is my third problem in the past 1.5 hrs and i'm posting like crazy. Sorry.
I have the new setup code saved in IR and ready to load to my remote which was working fine a little while ago. I reconnected it to the JP1 cable and now it's receiving no respose from the remote. The remote is working (to control tv etc) and it is receiving information I think (the LCD fills with symbols when I try the upload just like usual).
I've restarted the computer, taken out the batteries, reconnected the cable at both ends. Is there anything I can do or does anyone have any ideas as to what's wrong?
Thanks in advance. I'm sorry for all the trouble.
Sincerely,
Rachel |

Could something have happened to the JP1 cable itself. It's saudered in three places (red, blue, yellow cables connected to contacts green isn't) with the jumper as well (from Hovis direct). It was working a little bit ago but I wondered if something could have come loose. |

OK, I figured it out. The yellow cable was partially disconnected and has subsequently disconnected entirely from the pin. My JP1 adventures are temporarily halted until I can solder it back together. |
