Hello,

I'm frustrated! I've created an entire setup code from scratch using my learning remote and now that I have everything setup and directed to the correct buttons, I'm trying to save it. For some reason it won't let me save the file. In fact, it won't let me click on any of the buttons in that tab area (go to ir, load, import, load, save etc.) Any idea why it wouldn't let me save the file? It's a lot of work and I don't want to lose it.

Thanks in advance!

Rachel

You have to either enable macros when (if) prompted when KM is first opened, or you need to set Excel's security settings to allow macros (Medium).

In order to save what you have, do a File, Save, and resave the KM spreadsheet, ignoring the warnings about saving an .xls file. Then you can check the other stuff above, and reopen KM. At some point after you get it working, click the NEW buton in KM, and then resave the entire spreadsheet again. That should put KM back to it's original state.

That was what Mark was suggesting. When you save the entire spreadsheet it will save your upgrade with it.

Were you able to get the command buttons in KM to work?

yes and no. The load button works as does the Go to IR but save doesn't work, even after a restart. Any ideas what I can do about it (even downloading the program again?) Macros are definitely enabled now.

That's odd. You can try extracting a fresh copy of KM from the zip file and try again.
