Radio Shack #15-1924 JP1-compliant?

Post by Madivi »

Hi all

While browsing through the main page I stumbled over pictures of RS and OFA remotes.
There I recognized what I believe to be the
RS 15-1924, an elder backlit Remote

see first page of http://support.radioshack.com/support_v ... /62079.pdf
it is the same as in
http://www.hifi-remote.com/ofa/pictures-rs.shtml
(the 2nd remote on the 2nd line).

I own exactly this device but for the brand. A big german reseller (Conrad) sells it branded as 'Commander CV 300'. A learnable.

Now my question: This remote has no JP1-socket, but an IC (P1020 9850 LR) and possibly an EEPROM (24LC16B). Maybe the IC is the EEPROM...
It used to be a very handy URC until it failed learning the codes of my newer equipment.

Does anyone know this model?
Is there a reasonable way to add a JP1-socket?
(I searched the forum for the beformentioned RS without any hits)

So once more thank you in advance for any answers.

Regards and Greetings from Switzerland

This remote is NOT a UEI remote so it has no JP1 potential at all. It's actually a re-badged X10 remote.

Hey Robman

Thank you for your information.
It is a disappointment though.
I was already looking forward to reuse
my dear old URC.

So I'll forget that and I'm going to upgrade my OFA 3440 with the informations provided by Damir.

Have a nice weekend
Marco
